Chief Investment Officer
“Minimizing negative outcomes over the short term maximizes long term gains”
Vishal currently sits on the Board of Directors of Crossinvest (Asia). Prior to joining Crossinvest (Asia), Vishal worked for Bank of Singapore as part of the investment advisory team where he managed global, cross-asset allocation investment portfolios for high and ultra-high net worth individuals; he also later worked as a Private Banker. Vishal then pivoted his career to the Multi-Family Office business wherein he could continue to be a fiduciary advisor to the families he works with, but without the conflict of interest that occurs in private banking today.
Importantly, Vishal as Chief Investment Officer seeks to bring an institutional level of asset management abilities to private clients of Crossinvest (Asia). He is influenced by the study of Deterministic Chaos in mathematics and believes it accurately describes financial markets. As such, he believes that outcomes within financial markets are highly unpredictable. However, by understanding initial conditions, the nature of the system and possible catalysts, portfolios can be positioned to minimize the impact of negative outcomes and capture the upside in a strong risk-adjusted manner.
Lastly, he believes that the wealth held by clients today, is the result of the time they sacrificed away from their family to ensure their financial security and hence, as fiduciary advisors, it should be Crossinvest’s mission to protect as well as build on this sacrifice.
Vishal holds a First-Class Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Manchester. He speaks fluent English and is receptively bilingual in Hindi.
